    People make typing mistakes all the time, they may search for “flowrs ” instead of “flowers”.                                                        
     This type could only cost you pennies in comparison to the actual word, try out different                                              misspelling and take advantage.

    Speak To The User
    Use keywords which immediately envolk emotion inside of the users head, compelling them    to click on your link. Use “you”, add “free” go for keywords which speak to the user

    Record Everything
     Keep track of every campaign you’ve created, never delete anything. Some ideas which didn’t work months before may be a hot ad today. Learn from your mistakes, continually tweak your ads based on what you’ve learned from the ones recorded.

   Talk In There Language
Everyone seems to be able to identify a sales pitch these days, so talk directly to the user by speaking as if you were directly talking to them, giving them the “bar talk”.

 Set a Budget and Stick to It
Set a budget you feel comfortable and stick with it until you’ve significantly increase your sales until you feel it fit to increase your adword campaign. Blowing all your money one week won’t help when you don’t have any to advertise for the next three.

 Negative Keywords
Google allows you to enter Negative keywords that tell Google when NOT to display your ads, be sure to take advantage of this feature, adding negative keywords that you DON’T want your ad to show up under can save you money and your prospects time.

Don’t Set It And Forget It.
We’re not roasting a chicken in our Ronco Showtime Rotisserie here. Your Google AdWords campaign NEEDS to be managed frequently, it needs to be tweaked, it needs TLC, it desperately needs a sound strategy.

Cost Per Click (CPC)

Sometimes Google will tell you that you’re not bidding enough for a keyword, so you can increase the quality of your Ad, or increase your bid. This tends to be for keywords with a high level of competition. I’d advise reviewing your Ad first, then considering deleting the keyword altogether.

The Content Network

Oh bitter disappointment. The first day of my AdWords campaign was a heady mix of excitement and sheer naivety, and when the first day’s results came in – wow. 20,000 views. That means 20,000 people may have seen my advert! Of course, quite a few less than 20,000 people clicked on it. I also have suspicions that the ones who did, did so purely out of spite. I’d advise you make sure that you turn off Content Network ads when you start your campaign. It’s the ads embedded in sites rather than search terms, so you have less control.



I see many smaller businesses ‘attempting’ to run their own Pay Per Click campaigns on a daily basis.  They are typically spending too much money, getting too few results and getting more and more disheartened with Internet marketing.
